Team Lead for Pipe Production in Baytown, TX

seeking FOUR team leads for their Pipe Production Facility! We are looking for someone with with leadership skills to be responsible for an assigned shift, to function as a mentor, coach and a supervisor or foreman type lead with general knowledge and ability to provide or perform hands-on assistance in meeting Manufacturing goals and objectives RESPONSIBILITIES ? Leads team in meeting schedule requirements at all work-centers without sacrificing safety and/or quality ? Coordinates work-center team activities including VFM/5S, team safety, quality and productivity ? Provides leadership and hands-on work assignment support in meeting daily requirements ? Understands and operates up to occasionally running equipment ? Coordinates breaks and sets the example of best production work practices ? Lead point of contact on assigned shift ? Provides feedback to Pipe Production Manager and communicates information and instruction to team members ? Coaches and mentors fellow team members, which includes ensuring proper training of team members ? Provides solutions to production problems. Works closely with each Work Center Leader ? Takes initiative in cost reduction and efficiency improvements ? Provides feedback to evaluate team members, which includes necessary disciplinary action when required ? Provides and reviews appropriate documentation ? Performs all reasonably related additional duties as assigned by immediate Manager as required SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position may be responsible for directing or coordinating the work activities of others.
